Delivered duty-paid: why you pay nothing at the door
Contents
Revsticks is based in Thun, Switzerland – outside the EU. Every parcel we send you in the EU therefore has to clear customs. We have set it up so that you never notice: the price you see at checkout is your final price.
What changed in 2026
- Since 1 July 2026 the EU no longer lets small parcels in duty-free. Every shipment up to €150 carries a flat duty of €3 per customs tariff number.
- From 1 November 2026 an EU handling fee of about €2 comes on top.
- Your country's import VAT (19 % in Germany) has always been due – on the goods and the shipping.
How it works with shops that don't clear customs
The parcel is held at customs. On delivery – or at the post office – you pay import VAT, duty, the EU fee and a handling fee of the postal service (€7.50 at Deutsche Post). You often learn the amount only at the door, and if you're not home you collect the parcel from the post office.
How it works at Revsticks
We deliver duty-paid (Postal Delivered Duty Paid). Swiss Post settles tax and duty directly with your country's customs, and we pay the bill.
- Your country's VAT is already included in the product prices – just like at a shop in your own country.
- Duty and fees are part of the shipping price ("Shipping & customs").
- You pay nothing on delivery. The parcel comes straight to you.
